There is not much we know about this chip ... that is the problem with this auction ... fortunately this could be a GREAT PROBLEM since I have never seen one listed on ebay or elsewhere ever before !!! It is New in the original box, only opened to photo the chip! This CPU Chip is riddled with gold on the 64 Legs ... looks like a millipede! We call it the Stealth Chip because it looks like a stealthy high tech IC CPU Chip ... very cool. We would love feedback on this one. Good luck. Old, Vintage computer microchips and electronic memorabilia have already developed into a category of their own in collectibles and investing throughout the WORLD ! Just search some Ebay auctions containing the phrase “old computer chip” and see for yourself ! Collecting Vintage Computer chips is like collecting Art, Coins, Stamps, Old Paper Money, etc…. This is due to the complexity of Design, Rarity, Errors, Prototypes, Engineering and History behind them! Its been almost 40 years since some of today's most well known Billionaires such as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs and others have created the worlds first usable computer and software. Companies such as Microsoft, Intel, Ge, Burroughs and more, began the “Computer Revolution” with the production of what we now see as “Archaic” and which were once referred to as “State of the Art” ! CHIP COLLECTING IS IN ITS INFANCY !!! We have only just begun to see how BIG it will become … but … if you get smart now and beat the crowd, investment potential for these RARE COMPUTER RELICS will reward you with enormous profits and an intensive JOY OF COLLECTING ! Many collectors now are focusing on hard to find INTEL chips. It is for sure that these are and always will be EXTREMELY POPULAR, however, there are many other interesting and MEGA RARE manufacturers of other early chips that are being overlooked ! Watch my auctions ! Thousand of chips, computer boards and collectible computer parts will be sold. These were found and accumulated thru-out 30 Years in the scrap electronics business, and as we retire the entire collection is for sale Exclusively on Ebay! Contained in the many lots which will become available are ENGINEERING SAMPLES (some signed by the engineer), Old INTEL Chips, Gray Trace or Grey Trace chips, First products / releases, hard to get circuit boards, Programmable eprom WindowChips , Gold Scrap, Military Spec, etc… Many lots will contain Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium, Tantalum, Rhodium, and other precious metals ! Most pieces should belong in a museum. Expect MANY odd, vintage and prototype processor chips made by IBM, AMD, Sylvania, Sun, DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation), AMI, Cyrix, American Megatrends, Tandy, Winbond, Hewlett Packard, Raytheon, Actel, Fairchild, Intel, Membrain, and MORE ! All chips shown may have a distorted leg or slight marks due to previous handling during manufacturing and install (if ever installed), but will NOT have broken legs or major damage unless otherwise noted.
