This is a used POS Scan Gun that I purchased but was unable to use because my computer doesn't have the correct serial (9 prong-male) port. As is, this scan gun will only work if your computer has a serial port built-in to the computer, NO adapters. So if you have a serial port on your computer, this scanner could work for you. Your computer should find the hardware as soon as plugged in but if not, you can go to drivers.com and download a driver for this scanner. This scan gun includes the 9-prong female serial cable. If you purchase a different Synapse Smart Cable from Symbol then you could use this gun with other ports.

The overall condition of the scan gun is good but there is a few scuffs and scrapes on the scanner.

Serial Port Interface
The following picture is typical of older PC based systems. The cable provided will connect between these ports andis referred to as a DB9 Female to Male.
DB-9 This is a Serial Port, located on the back of your computer. If you have this available, and your software supports a serial port, you may choose to use this Serial Interfaced scan gun. Note, no software drives come with this scan gun. Your computer should detect New hardware when the cable it directly plugged into your computer port. You may be able to download a driver (if needed) from the Symbol website.
The cable that comes with this scanner is a DB9 Female.

Optional Insurance is available with most merchandise. Any package valued at $250 or more will require the buyers signature upon delivery. If a package is returned to us because you, the buyer were not able to sign for it, the buyer will be responsible for all added shipping fees incurred and the package will not be shipped back to the buyer until the additional shipping fees have been collected and verified.
