Utilizing a Sun Fire V480 is a great way to upgrade your datacenters processing capability if you have limited space. By drawing on up to four 1.2GHz UltraSPARC III processors the V480 offers great processing power and only takes up 5 rack units of space. To ensure smooth operating the V480 server can hold up to 16GB of memory per CPU/Memory board for a total of 32GB of memory. The V480 also contains two front accessible, hot-swappable Fibre Channel disks in 36GB, 73GB, or 146GB for a possible total of 292GB of storage. If your data storage needs exceed the V480’s capabilities Acclinet can help you integrate the full line of Sun StorEDGE products including Sun T3 Arrays, Sun 3510 arrays, and Sun 3310 arrays with your servers.
